One old-growth redwood shelf adorned with embossed copper.
As the candle burns downwards, each place down the length is touched for a moment by illumination. From the heavens to underneath the earth: sun, stars, birds, bees, rain, flower, bulb, seeds, earthworm, skull.
The redwood shelf was sturdily and elegantly designed and built by my sweetheart Roy Arthur Blodgett, and was finished with a blend of natural darkened tung oil and citrus solvent. There is a keyhole notch which allows for hanging flush against the wall.
